Step #1: You send us your resume
The first step in the process is sending us a draft version of your resume. To achieve the best results, you should follow the advice given in our Medical Device Sales Resume: The Ultimate Guide with Examples. Feel free to upload additional documentation that you feel will provide your resume reviewers further insight into your background and goals (eg: where you plan to interview, which speciality, etc.).
Step #2: We send you comprehensive feedback
Once we receive your resume and documentation, we will match you with a review team that best aligns with your experience and goals. For example, if you indicate that you are aiming for a role at Smith & Nephew, we will aim to pair you with an Ex-Smith & Nephew representative.
During this first review, we will focus on: 1. correcting structural problems 2. orienting your brand and story, and 3. asking you clarifying questions about your past experience. Once complete, we will send you a revised version for you to review.
Step #3: You implement our feedback
Your reviewer will send you comments with actionable steps needed to resolve. You will be need to block off between 1 hour and 2 hours to make these updates. After you make the suggested updates, you will then send it back to your reviewer for a final review.
Step #4: We refine and finalize
The final phase of the resume review entails the reviewer finely refining each detail of your resume to maximize its chance of passing the resume screen. Once the reviewer concludes, he or she will send you a final version of your resume.
A first round interview is simply the first round of interviews you have with the company. Typically, this is a phone screen with the recruiter or an HR representative. If you need help preparing for this interview, review Section 4 of our All-In Course.
